Born in Chicago, Michael moved to Florida when he was a young boy. After catching the acting bug in the mid 1960ʼs, Michael decided to leave Miami Beach and continue his education at the prestigious acting school, Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, California. In 1972, Michael won his first TV role on the NBC series The Little People, a charming sitcom that starred Brian Keith and Shelly Fabares. Filmed on Oahu, Hawaii, The Little People gave Michael a taste of what he has to come to love: acting. Signed to a management deal with Charles Laufer, publisher of Tiger Beat magazine Michael was able to keep a high profile while rounding up other acting roles. Michaelʼs second series came in 1974, when he was cast in his signature role, as Billy Batson on the Saturday morning series Shazam!, that ran for 3 years. In 2012, Warner Bros. bought the rights to the SHAZAM! TV series and released it on DVD. Making the official announcement at the 2012 Comic Con in San Diego as to which Michael was asked and happily took part in. Today, Michael has added to his TV credits having been on FXX‘s hit show Archer and AMC‘s Comic Book Men. He is currently getting ready to go on the “Con Circuit” after just doing the Monterey Comic Con and San Diego International Comic Con.
